While you might not find major discounts on cheaper entry level models, those shopping for the more specced out lines can enjoy some significant price drops around the holidays and major Apple launch windows.

In fact, MacBook sales are fairly common around certain times of the year, and do generally fall in line with new releases. That doesn't mean you're stuck with launch prices, however. That means Apple rarely discounts its older laptop lines with new generations, so it's harder to find that standout price if you're willing to swallow a few years on the market. MacBook deals are hard to come by for a reason - these machines last.
GROSS BEAT MAC PORTABLE
While some of the cheapest prices might be reserved for refurbs, the 2016 MacBook is still a fantastic device and it's one of the most portable options in Apple's laptop lineup. The internal specifications on the 2016 12-inch MacBook might be lagging behind the most recent version nowadays, but if you're not planning on pushing the device too hard with demanding tasks then it could be a great money-saving option for you. MacBooks are made to last, which means many of these older models will still hold up for everyday usage as well. However, if you're looking for an Apple machine under $800 then this is likely your best shot.
GROSS BEAT MAC PRO

Top of the range specs will bring you an 8-core 9th generation i9 processor, 64GB RAM and an 8TB SSD - at a price that pushes $6,000. There's far more than a few inches tacked onto the display, however. Released just as 2019 was drawing to a close, the 16-inch MacBook Pro was set upon the world in order to replace the 15-inch model released earlier in the year. GROSS BEAT MAC UPDATE
We'll be back to update this hub every week with all the latest cheap MacBook deals, so you can pick up a luxury laptop without breaking the bank. Meanwhile, in the US, you can only pick it up for full price. Act fast to get the ultrabook for its best price so far as we're not sure how long either offer will be in stock - it's already been expired at Amazon. It's currently reduced by £100 at Currys in the UK. It's more interesting when it comes to the latest 14-inch MacBook Pro. The story is the same as last week in the UK, with a low price holding firm on the 256GB version at Amazon. Prices for this model were the highest they've been in weeks, but a new offer on the 512GB version means you can get it for a record low price once again - one that matches last year's Black Friday deal. When it comes to the 2020 MacBook Pro, the situation is slightly better in the US. For the UK, you can currently find a £110 saving on the same model at the likes of Amazon and Currys, which is slightly better at only £40 away from the record low. It's now all the way back up to $949 at Amazon – and that's just for the Rose Gold version as the other colors are sold out. Just think, back in December, we saw the latest M1 MacBook Air model at Best Buy for just $799 - that's $50 off the cheapest ever deal we saw during Black Friday. Still, we've found savings on some models that are worth considering if you want to buy today. Many of the best offers we saw over the last two weeks are no longer available, so it's not the best time to be looking for one of Apple's premium ultrabooks. There isn't much out there when it comes to MacBook deals this week.
